Next Steps & How to Register
- Create your account on Crossbar.
- Select the appropriate age group and session and complete registration.
- Mark the tryout date(s) and arrive early.
- Pack appropriately: glove, bat, helmet, cleats, water, attitude.
- Please allow 2 days after tryouts to receive a follow-up.

Registration opens: January 15th, 2025
Deadline for registration: 1 hour before tryouts begin
Notification of roster decisions: You will receive your evaluation results 2 days after your tryout. Should players receive an offer letter, there must be a response to the offer letter email with a "verbal commitment" within 2 days of the offer letter received. Registration within 5 days of the offer letter received.

Who We're Looking For
We’re searching for athletes who bring more than raw talent:
- Skill sets that align with competitive baseball (hitting, fielding, throwing, game sense)
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn and improve
- A positive attitude, coach-friendly mindset, and respect for teammates and coaches
- A commitment to being a good teammate, supporting others, and representing RoughRiders with integrity
- For older age groups (15U-18U), an ability to perform under pressure, show discipline, and prepare for advanced competition
What to Expect at Tryouts
We will conduct a structured set of evaluations covering:
- Hitting / Offensive Skills – contact, swing mechanics, situational approach
- Defense (Infield/Outfield) – footwork, glove work, throws, situational awareness
- Pitching & Catching (where applicable) – arm strength/velocity, command, receiving/blocking skills
- Athleticism & Game IQ – hustle, base running, decision making, game-awareness
- After the on-field portion, we’ll review placements and next-steps. Players will be notified of roster decisions within 3-7 days depending on the size of the tryout.

Do returning RoughRiders players need to try-out again?
Returning RoughRiders players do not need to if they receive an offer letter for the next year. If returning players do not receive an offer letter, they will need to try out for the next year.
What if I cannot attend the scheduled tryout dates?
Please contact us (via email to inquire about a make-up session or private evaluation.
What gear is required / what should I wear?
Wear baseball cleats, full game uniform (if you have one), bring your own bat/helmet, and water.
How are rosters selected?
We evaluate skill, athleticism, effort/attitude, and team fit. Roster decisions will be communicated in the offer letter.
What happens after the roster is announced?
You will receive a confirmation email, uniform package form which will need to be filled out within 3 days of registering, and training schedule accessible on your Crossbar app.

The 2026 season has roster spots available for 13u/14u. Baseball tryouts will be held indoor at the Blue Sport Stable. Please be sure to bring game-like gear and water.
